2008 was an exciting year which began with ABC celebrating their 5th Anniversary - with a big party.
It was also the year that ABC took on their first musical.

Aiken Drum's Recycled Musical was written by Cally Phillips and the group rehearsed over the summer prior to an autumn tour across the region, pleasing audiences in Newton Stewart, Dalbeattie, Gatehouse of Fleet, and Annan. Unfortunately, this production was to become Cally's swansong, She moved to East Lothian in 2006 but in October 2008 she moved again, this time to Aberdeenshire. However, it is a testement to everyone's hard work over the past five years that the group is now strong enough to undertake a tour "on their own" and Cally left, feeling comfortable that the group has worked well towards self-sustainability. She continues to support the group "virtually" as much as possible.
In the winter, The Green Xmas Tour came back by popular demand once again touring the region, showing people how to make decorations out of recycled materials, and singing seasonal songs and carols. Everyone had a great time!
