Welcome to ABC's website. We are an inclusive drama group, based in Dumfries. We have been in existence since 2003 and if you use the buttons to the left you can follow our story over the years. The buttons on the right tell you about our current and future plans.

We are always happy to welcome new members. Come along to see what we have to offer. We meet on Thursdays from 10 in the morning till 3 in the afternoon - and we are VERY friendly!!! We take part in a variety of things: drama games, art, music, creative recycling, trips and committee work. There is something for everyone and everyone has a say in the running of the group.

We are always happy to welcome new volunteers. We are particularly keen to find people with a few hours to spare and administrative or financial skills. People happy to serve on our committee are also most welcome. With ABC you will find that you get far more back than you ever put in!!

ABC Drama Group has been supported by Dumfries and Galloway Council since 2005. This is how we are described by the council: "This innovative organisation is run for and by disabled people and has achieved significant results in terms of benefit to service users at ARCS and Day Centres across the region, who either come to Locharbriggs from other parts of the region to take part directly in ABC's core programme of artsbased personal development activities. or benefit from ABC's touring sessions."

We have also received Lottery Funding (in 2007) and many, many personal donations and individual fundraising efforts have helped to keep the group afloat over the past six years.

We are grateful to everyone who helps us financially, no matter how big or how small.

We are lucky enough to have received 3 year funding from the Council for the years 2009 - 2011 which will support ABC's plan to engage new
sessional workers with the aim of helping to establish 'clone' ABC groups across the region.

We will still be fundraising for other projects and we still need all the help we can get!
