Broadcast TV: as writer

Outside In Granada TV (2003) (dir Brian Perceval) A 30 minute tale of people who can't find the way to say what they want to say and who are extraordinary in very ordinary ways.

Don't Let Go BBC (1999)(dir Sarah Feilden) Part of Lifeschool Sex Education. Billy and Rachel learn the vital art of breaking up from that first relationship. Think Posh and Becks aged 15 meets Casablanca and you've got it.

Short Films: Producer and Director

The Complete Idiot's Guide to Being 14. (2006) Choose Life funded this anarchic knockabout exploration of what it's like to be 14 and making a film.

Colour It Love (2005) A woman with manic depression gives her view on how the world is and how it should and could be.

Shut It! (2004) A bunch of unimpressed and "excluded" youth in Dumfries made a film which placed in Paul Lafferty/Ken Loach short film competition.

Beyond Boundaries (2004) A young wheelchair user explores the difficulties attached to getting out and about.

Who is Normal? (2003) Food For Thought Drama Group give their insight into mental health service users treatment in society.

The Universal Hamlet (2001) Shortlisted for Toronto Online Film Festival. This is "to be or not to be" as you've never seen it before. "It makes you think."

Plus several short films with ABC Drama Group and other "disability" group work.

Plus some radio work - not a happy time and best forgotten apart from "Bullseye Babes" (1997) Radio 4 Afternoon Play with a then to be famous Billy Boyd doing the most awful Cockney accent you can imagine.

And LOADS AND LOADS AND LOADS of scripts which have been shorlisted, optioned, written and yet somehow NOTHING comes of them. Maybe that's why I've retired from screenwriting. Life's too short to have 100 films that never get made and when the means of production come into one's own hands you have to make different films but I'm afraid I've given up on a world which wants to spend millions making the same old stories time after time in order to make more money......

Media mashing (3 minute wonders)

What if God?, Casablanca in 3 minutes, and "Che" and loads more. One day I'll get all these available for youtube or some such.
